Your catcher barely hits .240. That’s not MVP numbers even for a catcher.

Over the past 50 years 4 catchers have won MVP. Over the past 25, 2 and they led the league in hitting.

Cal Raleigh vs Aaron Judge head to head stats

Cal’s dWAR is a little better (.6) than Judge. Judge’s oWAR is (1.2) and overall WAR is (2.1) are both significantly better. Judge’s offensive stats are staggeringly better than Raleigh with the exception of 8 less HR. His BA is (.83) higher. His OBP, SLG, and OPS are all almost a full point higher.

The MVP did hit a home run last night but it was the 49th.
