Let me explain the stakes and how we got here.

Everyone needs to be very clear where they stand on Charlie Kirk's murder, a horrifying and unforgivable act, when they are debating the question of whether he ought to be lionized or not.

These two things are being conflated by those on the right who would like to paint everyone who didn't happen to like Charlie Kirk as being complicit in his death.

However, a lot of people are, I believe, participating in the debate over whether Charlie Kirk ought to be lionized, and their arguments that he shouldn't be are being interpreted as arguments that he somehow therefore deserved to be killed.

Anyone who believes this, you are essentially arguing in support of a descent into violence, and I strongly recommend that you think harder about your views and their implications.
