Those who would break down the barriers between church & state always imagine their own tribe in charge & making the rules for all.

"God, Forgive These Bastards" Songs From The Forgotten Life of Henry Turner by The Taxpayers continues to be one of my favorite albums. I genuinely believe it's brilliant & deserves to be talked about a lot more than what it is.

Maybe it's because it came out my graduating year of high school, but I've always like Neighborhoods by blink-182. I've always thought Wishing Well & Kaleidoscope are two of their best songs.

Very straight forward, almost conversational tone, and a few unexpected insights to life.

Others: "Omg your write? What kind of poems do you write?"

Me: "Uhh, I'm kind of like if Bukowski went to therapy & got help."

Will forever rep the album Morbid Stuff by PUP as a great love-letter to depression. It's also really funny too, the relatable "I'm laughing because I know what he means" kind of funny.

If I can joke about something, I can process it. If I'm able to make a joke out of something painful from my past, then I've officially entered into the healing phase of that thing.
