U.S. deports gay asylum seeker to country where homosexuality is illegal It's the latest incident in which the U.S. government used third-country agreements to deport LGBTQ+ asylum seekers to dangerous situations.

A woman escaped from her family who tried to kill her for being gay from a country where it is also illegal. She was detained for nearly a year instead of given bail and then her asylum case was denied. A judge denied an order of removal. The Trump DOJ ignored it and deported her anyways.
