Daggerheart, blades in the dark, scum and villainy, monster of the week, tales of the valiant, draw steel.
The ttrpg world is so much bigger than DND and the fact so many act as if it isn't drives me nuts

If you get money and it's a campaign, ask your GM if you can buy some of the hope leaves. It really makes a difference when you're on a bad streak (I've started given them out at the start of one shots)

Played my first game of Daggerheart tonight and had an absolute blast. There's a ton of *really* fun crunch in this system.

The only hiccup was I felt like I didn't have enough Hope to really get there. My dice luck was farming fear and the encounter was Very Hard.

Having watched quite a lot of #xfiles at point (on season 8), I'm convinced the creators never intended to write a fantastic female character who people loved, and actually resented it a bit. #justiceforscully

1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.

As someone who has always strived to make my games as cinematic as possible, it's definitely made easier or harder depending on the system.
Initiative and exact movement rules are some of the biggest offenders, imo.
YZE games and Daggerheart have solved a lot of this for me.

Daggerheart draws inspiration from Cortex Prime, which does not have a fixed initiative. Most older Cortex games don't either, and Cortex's lack of it was to some extent inspired by Fate's lack of fixed initiative. BitD doesn't either. Point being, this is now new at all.

Any #ttrpg *can* be narrative-driven, but some (like Daggerheart, Blades in The Dark, Trophy, Powered by The Apocalypse, Risus, and many more) write the "power" to drive/change the narrative into the core of the system, instead of relying on the GM/Players to layer it on top of the RAW mechanics.
