I have to say it was absolute torture to be riding through Bathams country yesterday morning and to see Burton Bridge brewery available at today's breakfast pub and not have a taste of either! Especially given @shivajishivalaw.bsky.social additional enthusiasm for the former!

Started with the canal at Stoke and left the group just after cake in Sandbach.

I managed to escape Crewe! Slight change of plans to only train as far as Wolves (gutted to not say hi to Kiddy) and then ride back towards the others from there.

Journey onwards from Crewe is disrupted (faulty train) so I've got time to kill. No worries, I've squashed a library book in!

Forgot that for some trains you need to be a bit psychic about where the bike space is. Thankfully I'm only going to Crewe and the ticket chap didn't seem fussed. He just wanted me on!
