08.01.2026 01:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1Yes this is a take on Stranger Things season 5 and that if this show came out any later, we may have had a lot more people generating "better" endings.
07.01.2026 00:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If people start to generate shows to get THEIR perfect ending it will be the downfall of entertainment.
People need to be inconvenienced and experience shows not going exactly how they want. If not, it's going to be a hell of a lot harder to accept that not everything will go someone's way IRL.
In the era of AI generation, I am waiting for the day that consumers no longer accept bad endings for shows and instead start to generate the ending they want.
Where the product is no longer the show and instead a monstrous amalgamation of AI content that the user creates?
Instead of having Totally Normal" thoughts about Five Nights At Freddy's 2, I find myself thinking "you know, I wonder how hard it is to build an animatronic"

30.03.2025 02:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My only Horse Girl Complaintsβ’ is that the unicorn walked down a flight of stairs at one point. Really broke my immersion. (Joke).
And that Ridley didn't get the genuine horse girl moment of riding a unicorn or pulling a How To Train Your Dragon hand to nose scene.
I'm a horse girl, I have horses, I've watched hundreds of horse girl movies. This felt like the "adult" version of those.
It had all the horse girl movie tropes that are from those tween movies and still made it horror.
Was it campy? A little.
Did the commentary it was trying to make feel heavy-handed at times? Yes.
But, honestly? It really worked in the movies favor.
I mean, it is a movie about carnivore unicorns and people capitalizing on them.
It's Jurassic Park x Unicorn + horror comedy.
And it WORKED
I also absolutely LOVED the use of the Unicorn Tapestries. The fact that it is REAL historical artwork and that Ridley was studying Art History. *Chefs Kiss*
It gave an allegory to how life imitates art and the IMPORTANCE of studying art and history to not repeat the past.
(As someone in academia where people actively avoid the obvious statement, that outburst by Ridley was cathartic.)

"Well it's definitely a horse-like creature."
"Yes, with a growth protruding from its head."
"Very equine adjacent in form."
"That's a f*cking unicorn!"
Like YES! SAY THE OBVIOUS THING!
The way the characters who were trying to monopolize on the unicorn and rationalize what they were doing is *exactly* what it feels like in academia. Trying to sound smart and push on without getting to the point
30.03.2025 02:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I watched Death of a Unicorn. I don't care what anyone says. That movie was GOOD.
