But I think the Spanish take on the boat scene is the scariest scene in either version. Renfield's laugh here creeps me way out.

Back in the day, I’d get excited whenever MONSTER! (1999) played on the Sci-Fi Channel.
Such a wonderful, sweet little meta-monster movie.
It’s an awful shame that it’s pretty much been lost/forgotten about (except for a rough rip that’s currently on YouTube)
