I'm sick of news reports, articles and headlines saying "Here's THE TOP 4 PLACES IN TENNESSEE...!!!" and it's always just Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga and Knoxville. You know, the 4 big cities in the state.

I was raised in an evangelical church and can confirm, so much of the right wing's worldview is shaped by these works of "rapture fiction". I tell this to everyone, but Johnny Cash was the same way. Grew up a few miles from his house & he used to occasion my workplace in my 20s. He overtly engaged in charities and such, but a couple of times I observed him in quiet acts of kindness when no one was apparently watching. That's special. ❤️

Yesterday was great, but it won't be nearly enough. We're going to have to get used to getting out in the street. And maybe much more profound sacrifices. Time will tell, but we can see where it will go if we do nothing beyond holding signs and shouting a few slogans yesterday.

We saw two drones in the air. What data was collected? Where was it transmitted? Is it stored, and where? With literally a dozen OTHER agencies listed, both state and local, we have a right to know what involvement DHS had and what information has been shared with entities like, I dunno, Palantir?

Yea, cops had the army out ready to battle antifa & ended up having to defend a bunch of old people & families from MAGA assholes. I made sure to thank all the ones I talked to for keeping everyone safe. Hope they remember who demonstrates peacefully vs those who I dunno storm capitols and whatnot.

Some thoughts about the military parade in my hometown of Washington DC today -- specifically, the route. Military parades in DC are quite rare. But when they happen, they have always begun, symbolically and geographically, at the Capitol and moved outward. 1/

True. Cops there were very respectful. A few MAGA showed up who tried to stir up trouble & they were quickly escorted away. One guy was arrested, from what I hear he was trying to kick protesters (or a sign?) from the passenger seat of a passing car. Cops left horseshit on courthouse steps though 🤣
