It is fucking insane that we had a decade of people complaining about the dangers of cancel culture, and now literally hundreds of thousands of people are being purged from government jobs for ideological reasons, but that is not cancel culture.

When I taught childbirth education, vaccines were one of the topics. With empathy and understanding, I was able to convince most of my hesitant students to vaccinate their babies. It is possible, but it the educator must do it gently or it pushes the parent deeper into their anti-vax beliefs

In other news, the official Twitter (X) account for Elmo was hacked today spewing horrifically antisemitic tweets. They were deleted shortly after. The screenshots are out there, I’ll not repost them. Suffice it to say that the hate is real and people need to stop gaslighting us about it.

"Globalize the intifada” is not a call for justice. It is a call for antisemitic violence. At a moment of deepening danger for the Jewish community, all leaders must condemn both this language and the abuse of history it represents.
