obvs idk about how other studios do it but it's definitely something we keep in mind when developing a game, and have done on every project that I've been a part of at the company

and when I say I suffer from motion sickness I mean that at its worst, a few minutes of playing a game that triggers it results in needing to lie down in a dark room until I very quickly pass out and sleep for hours until the woozy feelings pass 🥱

man cyberpunk was so hard for me, it's the fish-eye effect. FOV slider helped a lot and I ended up giving up on the game for different reasons

I suffer from motion sickness a lot and have been a part of internal playtests to test gravity anomalies and have seen first hand/eye how much effort has been put into making sure defying gravity doesn't make people want to hurl

I've heard folks worry gravity anomalies in control resonant would make them motion sick. we're doing extensive playtesting and iterating to make sure gravity anomalies don't trigger motion sickness. the feature has come a long way and the team is working hard to make sure it's accessible
