Once a MAGA supporter told me I wasn’t being kind because I questioned Trump’s ability to pronounce acetaminophen.

Today my 3 year old saw Trump’s no kings response video on the news and said “dat dragon is not nice.”

It seems she understands kindness better than adult MAGA supporters.

On Feb. 14th I try always to give honor to one of the greatest contributors to American democracy in our nation’s history, Frederick Douglass. Born into slavery, Douglass never knew his actual birthdate, and adopted Feb. 14th as the day. His penetrating insights about our country inspire me daily.

Change has never come from noise alone. It comes from those who refuse to be ignored.

Take the resilient Mr. Mandela for instance.

If you’re frustrated with the current events of our nation, don’t let that frustration turn into hopelessness. The American people have been given a voice, and the only way forward is to use it—strategically, persistently, and with the long game in mind.

It’s in my nature to be loud. But the older I get, the more I realize that real change doesn’t come from volume—it comes from strategy. The words and actions that make the biggest impact aren’t the loudest; they’re the most intentional, the most precise, the most rooted in purpose.

Because I have a feeling Zuck will be policing critical thinking and free speech soon. Posting this here.

Acknowledging a child’s perception is not taking their childhood away. It’s giving them autonomy and boundaries to form their own healthy opinions.

My daughter adores Kamala and was sad when she lost the election. A woman in office is inspiring to a little girl.

She’s 5. She asks a lot of tough questions based on her observations.

I try my best to keep her optimistic about the future without lying to her that we have work to do.

How did we get here? How do we change this? Because this shouldn’t be normal, and I don’t want to accept it as their future.

And I shouldn’t have to do this. I shouldn’t have to feel unsafe for simply doing my job and walking to my car. What’s worse is knowing I’ll someday have to teach my daughters this same vigilance—the exhausting reality of constantly calculating risk.

But there I was: flashlight on, scanning under and inside my car before I even got close, keys gripped so tightly they left marks on my hand. My mind raced with every safety tip I’ve ever been told.

I worked an hour later than usual tonight, and as I walked to my car in the dark, I was mad—at myself. I know better. I know not to stay that late, not to walk alone in an empty, dark parking lot.

Aren’t batteries best in small use cases? Hydrogen seems to have potential in industrial uses if done properly.

P.S. This is definitely from a lay person’s POV. My husband is exploring the clean tech sector and the ARCH2 hub peaked his interest. I appreciate your willingness to engage!

I’m supposed to be nonpartisan in public because of my job. I’ve never realized how hard that is until trying to do it in a divisive culture like our own.
