Kraft Joysticks: A slice of all right.
06.08.2025 21:21 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How I enter the chat.
06.08.2025 20:52 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You folks who are actually getting to talk to someone at MasterCard and Visa who will actually even take your complaint about Stem and Itch are clearly God's Strongest Warriors. Because I can't even dent the fucking forcefield.
05.08.2025 17:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The architects body, if I had any say over it.
04.08.2025 18:12 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0The Left is completely silent on the subject of Rhi's biggest, shiniest ha'penny.
02.08.2025 15:48 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Can we make the phrase "the left is completely silent on the subject of X" into a bit so that this man knows no peace without us ever actually targeting or even discussing him?
I think we can. I believe in us.
Yes, 100% when he's alone. But if Apocalypse was over, I feel like High Evolutionary would roll out some sort of bullshit super science hookah.
01.08.2025 13:44 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The High Evolutionary, before passing the joint to Apocalypse:
01.08.2025 02:57 β π 154 π 23 π¬ 3 π 1Whoever it was on here who said SINNERS and K-POP DEMON HUNTERS were a double feature, *thank you so much.*
That's what convinced me to watch DEMON HUNTERS and I think I had a religious experience. Fucking fantastic.
Cannot wait to walk into the home of a well-meaning lib, see this on the arm of their favorite reading chair, and turn right back around to leave, Grandpa Simpson style.
You might as well get a name tag that says "HELLO, I AM A DEEPLY UNSERIOUS PERSON".
I'll take things that didn't happen.
30.07.2025 20:40 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0OK BUT HOLD ON, think about the sheer volume of ghosts that would populate an aging apartment complex run by a rapacious asshole who never fixes the gas leaks and shit.
30.07.2025 17:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's only anecdotal, but I just got off the phone with MasterCard, and I'm supposed to get a call back from their "consumer escalation team" within 72 hours to discuss how they're handling the censorship of Steam and Itch.
We might be getting somewhere...
Ideology? Focusing on what people care about?
28.07.2025 17:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There's one born every minute, and whoever said that just got born again.
28.07.2025 16:59 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Beowulf. Most translations, but I'm partial to Seamus Heaney or Maria Dahvana Headley.
27.07.2025 17:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Stevie Nicks is the most effective witch in history. Silver Springs is a spell that hundreds of people a day sing, including the man who will, in fact, never be allowed to forget her.
27.07.2025 12:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0All Star Superman. I love Superman. I love Grant Morrison. I love whiz bang superhero stuff that also tugs at your heart strings. It's basic and obvious, but here we are.
27.07.2025 12:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Dammit, this was supposed to be "lore bible." Autocorrect is an asshole.
27.07.2025 11:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
I found it when my sense of humor was already being accidentally infused with Groucho Marx (my media consumption was absolutely wild). This kind of wordplay and ironic detachment while also really caring a lot, it made a serious impression on me.
The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler is my favorite novel of all time and literally changed my life. I love it. I read it once almost every year.
26.07.2025 19:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh hell yeah, these are like opinions but even better!
One like, one book I love.
"When you've got a life bible this big, you're resting start. What do you mean characters and plot?"
26.07.2025 19:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't know if the novels would have "worked" for me without the mental images of the characters, the SDF-1, the Veritechs, etc., but you're absolutely right: the novels take a good story and make it great.
26.07.2025 15:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I sure have been on my bullshit this morning.
26.07.2025 14:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I also did this in my youth. I still have my Robotech novelizations and the Dick Tracy adaptation by Max Allan Collins was formative as hell.
Last time I tried, it was with Pacific Rim. It wasn't the same.
But! His middle name is Aloysius in honor of Bat Lash.
26.07.2025 05:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No, that's totally fine! I was just giving you the business.
The truth is I wish it was that deep. Chet actually started his life as a character in a tabletop RPG called Spirit of the Century. In mid-character generation, I decided he was too good to waste on not being a novel.
<ahem> Did you get to mine yet? π
25.07.2025 22:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Partner and I had a conversation about this last night, and ToD is the "grossest" but, yeah, I agree, Raiders is the goriest. By comparison, Last Crusade could have been on Saturday mornings.
