I remember formal rapid response epiglottis teams in our pediatric hospital. They included anesthesia as well as ENT staff in case emergency tracheostomy was needed. Preschoolers were especially at risk. Case #s fell dramatically after intro of HiB vaccine in the 80’s. We can’t go back!

Let’s vaccinate against COVID. It reduces the risk of long COVID. This should be a no-brainer.

Public Libraries can be wonderful places where children and adults can find books that they can see themselves reflected in, no matter who they are, and books that can introduce them to entire other lived experiences. Both are so valuable!
