I honestly don't know why I still use Windows. Unless I'm playing World of Warcraft on my host OS, I'm usually using one of my Linux VMs. It looks like even WoW can be played from Linux now with some workarounds, so there goes that last excuse. π

Ok maybe I should have noticed, but there was never vanilla before and I wanted to get in and out of the store was fast as possible. π·

I finally felt ok enough to run last night, but I'm coughing some this morning. It's just the last of the gunk working its way out, I hope. No running today but I might get back into rock climbing, as long as my lungs settle. πͺ

I just got COVID for the third time (ugh) and this is the first time my smell went wacky from it. On the upside, it was miraculous when I could finally taste my morning coffee for the first time in days. Hope you feel better soon!

I've never had duck liver pate but I dislike olives.
Movie is "Watership Down", which traumatized me as a kid.
Song is "Closer" by the Chainsmokers. I get actually angry every time I hear it. I'm angry now just thinking about it. π

I've been fantastically sick all week. Seems like I brought something extra back from my travels, aside from my dirndl and stein. The fever and coughing are finally down, and I can taste again. I didn't realize it was gone till I fixed myself a coffee and noticed we accidentally bought vanilla milk.

Oof, I only managed to swing about 5 hours sleep after being awake 25 hours straight getting home. I'm dedicating today to re-establishing my plan because I'm so off course, I might as well start over again. I do start off a lot stronger each time. πͺ
Rest and journaling day today.

I've been traveling a lot lately. I'm happy to be on my way home, hopefully for quite some time. I would like to say that, wherever I have gone, for whatever reason, there were some fuckin' rainbows.

That's entirely valid! You seem to be extremely self-motivated and that's badass. I would hope to get to that point, but I'm unfortunately prone to becoming discouraged and demotivated. Having a coach has helped me get through a lot of that, personally.

We do have an office gym but classes are so much better for me. My coach yells at me to do things I dislike doing but know are good for me, like Bulgarian split squats. I appreciate the kick in the arse.

I wanted to take the bus/train to get downtown to the Army Run last weekend. Buses in my neighbourhood were only running every two hours that morning - I would have had to leave at 6:30am to make it for my 8:45 race. I got a drive instead. OC Transpo needs some urgent attention.

We celebrate Pi(e) Day on November 10th, the 314th day of the year. I asked ChatGPT to create me some irrefutable proof that empanadas are pies, and are therefore appropriate to bring as my pie contribution. Long story short everyone is confused and I am bringing empanadas.

Oof, that sounds brutal! I hope I caught it before it got to toenail-shedding levels. I'm using Hoka Cliftons, which work well for the small bit of lingering knee pain.
How do you determine when to retire your shoes? You do a lot more km per week than I do. π

I'm running longer distances! That's good! And bad - my friggin toenails got bruised right to heck underneath them all. The shoe nerd told me to size up, so I say goodbye to my trusty running shoes from a year and a half ago. They got my where I am and will be missed/relegated to gym shoes.
