My spouse is the ER fan boy. While we played the boardgame, he explained all the lore as we went and it made it much more engaging for me as I never played a FromSoft game.

It's well done but takes about 50 hours to beat so it's both a time and money investment. I wouldn't get it if you're not into the FromSoft world and lore though. The mechanics are fun enough but it's def better if you are familiar with Elden Ring.

We beat the main campaign of the Elden Ring board game. We even defeated the final boss in one try!
