With ongoing community care and support, in addition to our current resources, we can remain housed, afford utilities and other bills, catch up on utilities and other bills, repair our only vehicle and afford transportation, and necessities like medicine, appointments, groceries, etc.

I'm have limited contact with my family of origin and my in-laws.

I survived severe child abuse, CSA, SA, neglect, bullying, medical trauma, psychiatric trauma, and interpersonal violence. I was initially disabled due to traumatic violence as a child, and then was further disabled due to other experiences.

We are seeking on going community care as we navigate emergency after emergency - none of which we were prepared for and have been barely getting by so far thanks to community.

My nesting partner and I are generational cyclebreakers - we are trauma and abuse survivors.

I use a rollator and a power wheelchair. I'm receiving care from a home health aide and palliative care.

I'm the primary parent to two children and partnered with my nesting person - all three who are also chronically ill and/or disabled.

I have fibromyalgia, severe myalgic encephalomyelitis, dysautonomia, cognitive dysfunctioning, long Covid, glaucoma, bipolar disorder with chronic depression, complex PTSD, dissociative disorders, ADHD, and I'm Autistic.

Like, yes, that sucks... but they're not experiencing the impact of these symptoms that leaves us house- and/or bedbound, at risk of or actively dying, or being under-resourced, at risk of losing everything, including housing, etc.

I was discharged in the morning and I'm very much grateful to be home!

The ER doctor did listen - the annoying part was him placing more value on the feelings of doctors who are unable to successfully manage and treat patients with complex symptoms - such as myself.

Where is the cultural compassionate care and humility for disabled people??

For one, I'm not okay with the violent stigma and bigotry against drug users and they don't deserve to be dehumanized and face violation.

This isn't just about me - it's the culture of violence enforced by hospital employees and staff due to various stigma, bias, and bigotry.

The security supervisor forced the security guard to check in on my spouse and I due to violent, bigoted concerns that we were using drugs in the bathroom and as I was pulling up my pants, the door was forcefully opened.

I'm incredibly infuriated and I was violated.

I've been patiently waiting in the Penn Presbyterian ER since 9:16pm and about 30 minutes ago, I asked my spouse to help me use the bathroom because I'm a mobility device user and a fall risk.

The cis white woman paramedic made ableist commentary and mocked me - effectively impacting the quality of care I'll receive due to how she discussed my medications and my diagnoses with the nurse.

I'm presently sitting in the ER with my partner after being brought here by the paramedics who were called to my house by palliative care due to the intensity of my symptoms and having an unusually elevated blood pressure.

These healthcare workers don't offer compassionate care but instead perpetuate and enforce violence and abuse through ableism and sanism.
