TA at an SEN school. NEU rep fighting to get us recognised. DnD DM. Rollerblader. Support political movements that fight against inequality and rebuild community. Currently that's the Green Party under Zack Polanski and Your Party (if it sorts itself out)

Fascinating! Fits gut political instincts, but nice to see confirmed by data and more detailed analysis

The research notes that everybody thinks figures like santa will vote for the same party as them, but left wing people tend to do it more.

Umm yeah because heroes tend to have values like kindness, justice, and fairness which are at the heart of leftwing politics.

Santa in a green outfit

32% of Brits think Santa would vote for the Greens under @zackpolanski.bsky.social.

Pretty sweet endorsement.

He joins 100k+ others who used to like red and now prefer green.

Zack Polanski, "It's not about me vs Nigel Farage"

"It's about his form of hate and division"

*Andrea Jenkyns starts moaning*

"Vs the politics of doing something about a broken system"

*Andrea Jenkyns moans even more professing: oh my god*

"About tackling inequality and offering hope to people"

So many bad-faith attacks on Zack Polanski.

His own partner works in palliative care!

About a third of carers are migrants.

Among other things, Labour has banned them from bringing their partners and kids here.

Labour pretending to care about them is nauseating.

I've met a lot of inspiring and talented activists in the Green Party and especially in Greens organise. Our Greens Organise Co-Chair Hau-Yu is right up there with the best of them.

Give her a follow and give this a listen.

While I think most literate people can be insightful and articulate in text form, if given enough time to collect their thoughts, it is a rare talent to be able to do that verbally, in real time, while responding to interruptions, hostile jibes or pointed questions and STILL get your point across.

Yes it's the moral and truthful position, but even on cold-blooded electoralism, going for the pro/neutral on migration vote is *far* more sensible.

Four(!) parties competing for the ~55% who say it's a most important issue to them. Greens under @zackpolanski.bsky.social the only party for the 45%

Very skeptical of this MMT stuff. Itโ€™s not party policy. Iโ€™m not an economist, but it just reads like wishful thinking.

Would prefer sticking to spending multipliers, post WW2 analogies, predictable investment etc.

If thereโ€™s a โ€proofโ€ it Iโ€™m open to being convinced.

Letโ€™s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

No, this is not a โ€œpoor pensionerโ€ scrabbling around for penniesโ€ฆ

Starmer doesn't realise that the Tories could actually recover one day. Reformโ€™s base is inherently unstable and right wing voters are shockingly forgiving.

The left wonโ€™t forget. The Green Party under @zackpolanski.bsky.social is far more coherent and fully democratic. When Labour dies itโ€™s dead.

18.11.2025 07:38 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 27    ๐Ÿ” 5    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I canโ€™t believe weโ€™re living through the deaths of *both* the major UK parties.

If Starmer had stood on a progressive platform we would have had 3 Labour terms minimum, as Tories and Reform split the right for the first time.

Instead he joined them on the crowded right.

Weโ€™re not coming back.

18.11.2025 07:18 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 15    ๐Ÿ” 3    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Ah so the intensely anti-migrant people (who tend to live in low-migration areas) will stop hating the migrants they never meet if they volunteer at Oxfam and give away their heirlooms.

That sounds about right.

A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

This is a new low from a govt plumbing the depths of performative cruelty in hopes that the public wonโ€™t notice they have no answers to the real issues facing this country

A sensible, humane govt would focus on safe routes to prevent people making dangerous small boat crossings

How Starmer started vs how itโ€™s going now.

Pointlessly disgusting. The left will never trust Labour again.

It wonโ€™t win over people obsessed with migration, it only fuels Farage.

Greens are soaring because people know @zackpolanski.bsky.social defends policies he *actually* believes in.

This is essential.

Immigration actually much less important to the public than often implied, even with the media obsessing over it.

A post by Zarah Sultana of 'Your Party', that uses a generated image with the words 'Your Party, County Durham Launch', surrounded by nine simple, flat images of images in silhouette with single colour backgrounds, presumably intended to represent Durham, four of which are a man with a weirdly long pick-axe, one is a building, two are gantries of some kind โ€“ for a coal mine? โ€“ and one is some kind of floating lamp. I will expand on this in the thread.

Okay, I can't let this one go. I live in Ireland, not the UK, but the use of this image by a supposedly socialist party is so stupid and offensive, I'm going to get stuck in.

Let me explain to you why any experienced illustrator/designer could have stopped you making so many miserable mistakes. 1/

Greens jump from third to first.

This is why the pressure to vote tactically in FPTP is so utterly shit.

LDs and Lab screech that you *have to* vote them or get reform.

@zackpolanski.bsky.social was right when he said Starmer has no right to that line when he could run the next election under PR.

He knows his job is to represent the members/democratically selected policy

Reform peaked 4 years too soon.

By 2029 they will unravel and be fully exposed as the janky, Tory 2.0 party that they are.

Thanks for helping expose Labour and fertilising the Green bloom though x
