Study into use of conspicuity aids (inc. hi-viz) by cyclists and the effect they have on crash risk from other road users.
For the organisations in Ireland heralding hi-viz as a silver bullet solution for road safety (which it most certainly isnβt).
Disingenuous, using road safety as a cloak for their ignorance or deep-rooted prejudice against cyclists.
Problem is the cloakβs not opaque, we see you π

My beloved 2019 Cannondale Supersix Evo Dura-Ace, now en route to itβs rightful new home in Andalusia.
For a while it looked like it might not go ahead, but relieved that my bike is securely packaged, loaded and now on the road to Andalusia. Will be reunited with it this Spring. πͺπΈ
Totally wasted on the pothole infested roads here.

They do, simply by default they choose to cycle rather than drive.

Same with road users who kill pedestrians after running red lights (99%+ motorists).

We live in a world where so-called professional drivers tend not to even know the basics.
A cyclist can do everything right and it still might not be enough to prevent them from being maimed or killed by a dangerous driver. Any good driver would understand that.

Regulating cyclists and cycling
While Cycling UK believes cyclists, like all road users, should behave responsibly and within the law, we disagree with imposing extra regulations on them. This is because the move would be impractica...
Oh dear.
You should read the link below so you donβt end up looking haplessly ill informed.
On law breaking, the DfT study found that 85% of motorists exceed 20mph limits and over half exceed 30mph limits. Speeding alone reinforces my point.

Massively, a combo of collective responsibility and confirmation bias issued almost as standard by bad drivers. All so they donβt have to acknowledge their failings behind the wheel.

85% of adult cyclists also hold a driving licence.
The vast majority of drivers break the law every time they get behind the wheel.
Most cyclists safety check their bikes before each ride (for obvious reason with equipment malfunction). Drivers? 1 MOT per year, lots drive well past MOT expiry.

Do these people ever think perhaps it might be a better idea to understand the evidence before they adopt their position?
Mandating hi-viz would make a minimal difference to road safety.
With floating bus stops, might be an idea for the individual to look at what kills pedestrians on the pavement.

Dylan Van Baarle finishing the Foia stage in 24th place and confirming his return to form ahead of the opening weekend.
Saw an article recently from Quick Step saying that Van Baarle is in great shape looking ahead to Spring classics. Definitely confirmed that with his performance on the tough Foia climb today. Great to see him and also Laporte back to a good level ahead of opening weekend.

Eagles 7 round mock draft on profootballnetwork.com
Eagles mock draft on PFSN using PFF board. Most needs addressed (can easily pick up a low cost TE2 in FA). Picked up extra capital by mid round trade backs. Definitely needed a backup for Lane (Isaiah World) who has inside potential, Rutledge also fortifies guard depth which is an area of concern.

Teen electric bike rider suffers bleed on brain in crash
A teenager suffered a bleed on the brain after a crash between an electric bike he was riding and a BMW, police said.
Thereβs a few giveaways here to confirm it was an illegal electric motorbike and not an e-bike.
