Definitely, Hunt and also Elite wheels are infamous for the freewheel noise. Not a favoured choice on group rides.

There’s a much greater sense of achievement in it than you get riding in summer, just good to get out when it’s really easy not to.

I find temps in the early teens °C hardest to get clothing choice right on. Same on riding in colder conditions, you can’t beat a ride on a crisp winter day.

Lots of drivers who’ll prioritise their convenience ahead of a cyclist‘s safety at every given turn. They either lack the perspective of a cyclist and so don’t think they’re doing anything wrong or they just don’t care.

Even had a copper do it whilst I was on the bike last year, which then technically became an oncoming close pass. Doesn’t fill you with much hope when those enforcing the law can’t even adhere to the Highway Code.
