“We’ve had the Me Too movement, which rightly and accurately called out men’s violence against women. We had equal marriage. We had Black Lives Matter. A lot of what we’re seeing now culturally is the last-gasp backlash to that progress.”

Inside the ten year campaign for LGBT-inclusive education For the past ten years, Jordan Daly and Liam Stevenson have worked to transform the experiences of young people across Scotland.

“We can see the effect of dangerous and false narratives that children are being 'groomed' at school or encouraged to transition by 'woke' teachers, and it is very rooted in conspiratorial language which ultimately attempts to disrupt trust in educational institutions and uses LGBT people to do it.”

The state of the newspapers this morning: a near-universal attack on trans people, most of it grossly exaggerating the implication of yesterday's ruling. Almost joyous in its spite.

We'd urge people not to panic - there will be lots of commentary coming out quickly that is likely to deliberately overstate the impact that this decision is going to have on all trans people's lives. We'll say more as soon as we're able to. Please look out for yourselves and each other today 💗🏳️‍⚧️

Graphic with a purple background. It reads: "We are really shocked by today's Supreme Court decision- which reverses twenty years of understanding on how the law recognises trans men and women with Gender Recognition Certificates. The judgement seems to have totally missed what matters to trans people- - that we are able to live our lives, and be recognised, in line with who we truly are. We will continue working for a world in which trans people can get on with our lives with privacy, dignity and safety. That is something that we all deserve.". Post image We are devastated that Christina McKelvie has passed. Christina was a remarkable woman: a force of nature, compassionate, and incredibly warm. We shared many values with her and know how committed Christina was to social justice, equality, and to doing everything she could to make Scotland the best it could be. In doing so, she was the best of us.

Christina was a formidable Member of the Scottish Parliament and one of the earliest supporters of our work. She played a pivotal role in ensuring that Scotland became the first country in the world to advance LGBT Inclusive Education. We will cherish the memories that we were privileged to create with her.

Our thoughts are with Keith, Jack, Lewis and all who knew and loved her. We will miss you, Christina.

Graphic with Puprle and Blue Gradient background. It reads: Most people aren’t trans, but some people in fact are.

Trans people need to be able to recover on hospital wards, use toilets, access cancer screenings, receive support after experiencing sexual violence, go swimming, try on new clothes… just like anyone else.

For many years, not enough people recognised this, and trans people faced real and significant harm because of that.

Let’s not go back to those times.' The Scottish Trans logo is in the bottom right corner.
