So the Ikazuchi is a "Carrier". Here is an attempt to bring some more classic Carrier elements to it's design. Elevators and blast deflectors on top. For non veritech aircraft if the carrier is ever in atmosphere. Plus the lifts are good for bringing small shuttles inside.

Same. When I was, like 5 years old, I was obsessed with wearing a black leather looking jacket that has a fur collar. Just because I thought I looked like Hawk when wearing it.
