I know all of this. But I learned tonight that there is no one who will save and protect us from Republican madness and cruelty.

I used to say what you say. I now see it as a weak excuse. It’s heartbreaking. We need the Ds to stand up for us because the Rs won’t. Rs don’t care about people who are not rich or belong to a minority. We know that. My only hope were the Ds. The lasting consequences of this vote are catastrophic.

It doesn’t matter. The Democratic brand as a whole is so severely damaged after tonight that it takes more than removing Schumer from leadership.

I always defended the Democratic Party, against criticism from the left (we need pragmatism) and the right (universal healthcare like in Germany and other European countries leads to better health outcomes at lower costs). No more. I’m done.

I voted for the guy and feel betrayed. This is so shortsighted. Why do democrats cave every damn time? No dollars or support for them until they protect us again. What a disgrace!

NSF provided the space for doing basic science, space for exploration w/o guaranteed outcomes. They are trying to turn it into an applied-sciences-only mill in the hopes of faster pay-off.

I am a Harris-Slotkin voter & donated to both. I was annoyed when Slotkin warned Harris was under water in MI in Sep. Sadly, her warnings were warranted. She was trying to help. It’s not her fault that voters didn’t understand that Harris was their best choice. I’m done making excuses for voters.
