Last night I went to the Puca Festival in Trim, Ireland.

It's all fun and games until someone unleashes a giant demonic hare.

My husband did manual work for a good hunk of his life (Marines, concert/ event production, yoga instruction). He has had to have both rotator cuffs repaired. His hearing also took a major hit.

He’s in his 50s and still can work with his body, but it takes a toll and not viable for a lifetime.

My dad used to take me to Oilers games at the Astrodome when I was a kid. Since the Texans are never expected to do much aside from winning a division every now and then, I’m happy to set his expectations appropriately!

I have to think that someone who describes Harvey as “a hurricane” has no concept of what 50 inches of rain in a 24 hour period actually did to us.

Wasn’t a defense. Was a reason I’m always going to be appreciative of that series. The city was destroyed. And the win brought a flicker of light for a devastated people.
