In many ways, Georgetown University has responded in ways completely contrary to Columbia University. While Columbia caves to Trump’s demands, Georgetown maintains its Jesuit identity. Georgetown has proven that schools can indeed stand up against this administration.

Georgetown University deserves tremendous credit. The Dean of the School of Foreign Service has spoken up in defense of Suri. In addition, the Law School continues to stand by its DEI policies, responding with a strong refusal to obey the Trump administration’s demand to cut these policies.
