I want to like this one, but it just has so little to go on its difficult. Iβll have to track the novel down. Poor Vicki gets a real rushed exit.

Itβs really hard to put my finger on the story. The soundtrack is good, but occasionally unclear as to what is going on. Katarina sort of just pops into existence, and itβs hard to keep track of the other supporting cast members.

Doctor Who: The Myth Makers
Landing in ancient Troy, the Doctor and Stephen are quickly separated from Vicki, and the Doctor is charged with winning the Trojan war. Can he save his own skin without putting Vicki and Stephen in the line of fire?

Not really that good all around, a very strange tale.

Itβs a very weird story and it doesnβt really work to justify its weirdness.
Itβs not really worth tracking down. But that said, if youβre interested, the sirens of audio have an unofficial reading of this story you can find it here

This was a weird one, it takes a couple of weird turns and winds up as a pantomime half way through. We get a couple of weird jokes and the doctor brazenly manipulating his companions perceptions.

Doctor Who Short Trips and Sidesteps: Planet of the Bunnoids
Landing on a planet, The Doctor, Stephen and Vicki encounter a strange robotic rabbit creature which Vicki dubbed the bunnoids. Only for such cute creatures, they sure have a dangerous agenda.

In all this is a real treat and a fantastic reimagining of a lost footnote please check this out!
4/5 a weak plot, but an excellent performance!
As for the reconstruction, itβs amazingly well done. The sets, costumes and acting all evoke that 60βs feel. Everyone involved should be very proud of their work on this!
I think I only noticed one anachronism, but even that was a blink and miss it moment!

The monster in this story is the Varga plants, one scratch and youβre filled with an overwhelming urge to kill as you transform into one of them.
Iβd love to see them come back on the screen as I think they have good monster potential.
4/
So this story is famous for not involving any of the main cast of the show. Its plot is a little thin, but itβs effectively a puff piece hopping up The Daleks Master Plan, which it does effectively.

Doctor Who: Mission to the Unknown
While the Doctor and friends are leaving the fourth galaxy, on the planet Kembel a plot is brewing which threatens the entire solar system!

Itβs really no tragedy that this story is lost. Iβll give it a 3/5, but only because the animation is fantastically done this time around. But unfortunately you can only polish a turd so much.
5/5
The Drahvins are continually cast in the poorest light. Beautiful yet violent, aggressive and hostile to everyone they meet.
The Ril are ugly, yet wise. Open to new people and alliances, and willing to overlook the Drahvins hostility. Also, entirely male.
4/5
Thatβs really all there is to the story. On paper.
Below itβs wager thing moralizing is a nasty bit of subtext where space woman are bad, and shouldnβt be trusted. Nasty sexist material.
3/5
Oh dear. This story has issues to say the very least.
The plot has little more substance than run back and forth between two sets for two hours.
The moral of the story can be summed up in donβt judge a book by its cover.

Doctor Who: Galaxy 4
On a dying world, The Doctor, Stephen and Vicki are pawns in a battle between the Drahvins and the Ril

Ultimately I think this story fails in itβs objective, but I still think it was very much a story worth telling

Thereβs a fantastic moment about 3/4 of the way through the story when we see some POV moments of the protestors being mistreated and force fed, itβs very moving. But the story as a whole fails to carry that momentum.
4/5
But it feels like there isnβt enough plot to go around. Things only really kick into gear in the second half of the story when the skull fragment begins influencing one of the suffragette rallies.
3/5
Personally I found this story to be a bit of a mixed bag. On a moment to moment basis, there are lots of good things going on in this story. I particularly liked The Doctor being absolutely terrible at driving and Stephenβs misadventures buying a skeleton.
2/5
Doctor Who Companion Chronicles: The Suffering
Landing in 1912, the Doctor, Vicki and Stephen see the struggles of the suffragette movement first hand. But when a strange fossil is unearthed, can the Doctor, Stephen and the men of the world withstand its fury?
1/5
Absolutely amazing, and one of the very strongest of the Early Adventures. Donβt skip this one!

4/4
This story is a painful lesson for Vicki, she learns in the most painful way that history is not to be changed, and that nothing can be made to change without a heavy sacrifice.
3/4
This story is utterly fantastic, just absolutely amazing. Itβs a character centric story and Maureen OβBrien carries it amazingly.
Itβs a tragedy as Vicki tries to keep her new future in order, but the more she tries to protect her family, the more things go wrong.
2/4
Doctor Who Early Adventures: Crash of the UK 201
Waking up aboard her cabin on the ship UK 201, Vicki realizes sheβs been flung into her own past.
Seizing the chance, she prevents the ships crash and changes her own history. But what are the consequences of such an action?
1/4
All in all itβs a perfectly average story, there are bigger highs and lower lows, but being just alright isnβt a bad thing.
3.5/5
4/4
I liked having the first Doctor do a lecture, I just wish it had been more than just an instigating moment for the plot. The call ahead to series 10 is nice, but it ends up being very low impact to the plot
3/4
This is a perfectly average story. It doesnβt excel in any way, but itβs by no means bad. The characters are all university cliches, but the core plot is an enjoyable one.
