End Lost World on a big cliffhanger - "Oh shit, now they're reached the mainland!" - and sell a billion tickets for your third movie!

As an adult I feel that, but when I saw this as a kid the San Diego stuff was my favourite part. T-Rex in the city! Wow! Loved it. If anything, they needed to throw more at that section, make it more substantial. Like it’s inevitable, instead of a wacky final set piece.

I reckon the third act swerve into “T Rex in the city!” needed to be longer, give us more. Feels too perfunctory as it is. But the kid looking out of a window and seeing Rex looking in is seared onto my brain from my first viewing in the cinema.

I loved it as a kid! I think I’d have loved Rebirth too, once they get to the island. The best action sequences since Spielberg - proper “blimey” stuff.

Also, Chris Pratt isn’t in it. So that ranks it 4th on the list at the very least.

Jurassic World: Rebirth is pretty good. Obviously it’s not *that* good, but it has nice characters and scary dinosaurs. It’s fun. I reckon it’s the best one since Lost World.

Mind you, I just saw 28 Years Later and the first thing in it is a text undoing the ending of the previous film! Unlike Sil, it’s hard to know if these series endeavour to maintain a certain continuity.

I somehow saw the Trevorrow trilogy in reverse order, and never felt I was missing much. I’d imagine the only important continuity points for the new film/s are: a) dinosaurs have now spread around the world, and b) there are genetically modified and “new” dinosaurs

Despite its provenance, it’s still one of the best comedies about theatre / entertainment I’ve ever seen! The narrative is terrific
