And Anthropic also cannot do this, so in response they’re not trying to, but instead aiming far more precisely.

Have I missed anyone?

SpaceXai has no money to spend on CapEx.

Google is able to announce $180 Billion of CapEx in a single year and still be cash flow positive.

OpenAI simply cannot do this.

Microsoft can do this, but chooses not to.

Apple can do this, but chooses not to, in a somehow better way?

Meta cannot quite do this, but is determined to anyway.

I think the dumb money is just currently chasing other things. I think the fact that it’s basically flat, is good, because otherwise it would be down, in this environment.

Honestly if the media environment were more sane, this could conceivably be a kill shot to OpenAI.

Claude is a space to think | Anthropic Anthropic explains why Claude will remain ad-freeβ€”how advertising incentives conflict with building a genuinely helpful AI assistant users can trust.

In case there was any doubt Anthropic is laser-focused on commercial as opposed to consumer AI adoption.

Fucking surreal that people dressed like this and carrying assault rifles are permitted to kidnap people off our streets

U.S. Economy: The Road Ahead President Tom Barkin shares his views on today’s economy and the path ahead.

January #inflation story

"Sales & finance teams are debating how aggressively to increase prices... Sales doesn’t want to pass through those costs at the risk of lost volume; finance doesn’t want to eat the cost at the risk of reduced margins..."

I think the real hot button issue is how much the $STRC dividend gets pushed up to protect the price, and how that impacts the longevity of their cash position.

03.02.2026 22:46 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

To expand, $MSTR has over $2B in restricted cash that covers its pref divs through this year. But that’s about all the runway he’s got. The common has been diluted to hell and the prefs are being diluted. Eventually he will have to sell the btc to make the payments, but we aren’t close to that yet.

Software is slumping because AI will eventually replace software companies.

But Data and Web Security is one software niche that I’m not sure AI will be able to replace. So I’m continuing to hold my $NET shares and am looking to buy more.

What it's like to see ICE tear gas kids Attendees at a Portland, OR protest describe a vicious, unprovoked and sudden attack

New β€” I spoke to eight people who were present at the ICE protest on Saturday in Portland, Oregon when federal agents deployed tear gas and rubber bullets into a crowd of families, children, elderly and disabled people, and their pets.

These are their stories:

I asked Claude Sonnet to build me a social media aggregator feed to follow only the people I choose and to show what they’re saying. Sonnet told me it couldn’t be done and gave me some other options.

I asked Opus and it built the thing in 2 minutes.

Stop Blaming DoorDash for the Affordability Crisis One DoorDash Discourse to rule them all: Food away from home is down. Groceries are up. This is especially true for young people. Affordability is a real problem.

DoorDash Discourse is entirely wrong.

Since the pandemic, percent spending on groceries are up, food away from home is down, and this is especially true for young people. Trends point to food affordability being a real problem.

Finally seeing what the fuss is about in $IBKR, with a covered call

BTO 100x shares @ $76.89
STO 1x 2/6/26 Call @ $76, received $178 in premium

If successful, trade will make $89, or 1.1% for the week.

I’m still buying fractional shares of GLD every week, I do still think it’s a fundamentally sound thing to do, but I’m out of options at this point. Good that you’ve neutraled yourself and controlled some risk. I think it’ll find another uptrend.

Moving on from Metals.

STO 1x $GOOGL $335 Put expiring 2/6/26

Received $735 in premium, or 2.19% for the week’s trade

Earnings this week and I’m taking a bullish position, with the ORCL news the market may be looking for cost control, Google’s got it as good as anyone.

Saylor will sell calls on BTC before he outright sells the BTC, but even the act of doing that should trigger some sensitivity issues, I would think not unlike a bank using the SRF - normal business but carries societal cost.

But would it be an economically sound argument to make? Are we deviating this much from the actual job description?
