I do agree with this as two things can be true:

1) Trump wants to impose authoritarianism.

2) Trump is desperate to impose authoritarianism because he is weak.

In the months after Hurricane Katrina, the National Guard patrolled New Orleans under a restrictive curfews & surveillance. That experience, more than any other, led me to walk away from conservatism & embrace radical politics.
