I'm not dismissing potential pitfalls of allowing AI code in to a project, I just think it would be more productive to focus on addressing the reasons people are opposed to AI code by requiring code meet a certain standard and having stricter rules surrounding contributor copyright

While pure "vibe" coding is damaging because it often leads to poor code quality, most talented young devs I know now use AI as a major part of their workflow. In the long run I see the potential damage that this could cause by cutting off new talent from contributing to opens-source

It's like half the people on here are just LLMs with a single-digit token window. The replies on the Unduck announcement are people seeing the words "search engine" and assuming it's a DuckDuckGo competitor or Google Search API wrapper. I'm not a web engineer, but it's not that hard to understand

I assumed it was just a disagree bot until I looked at the profile and realized that it's a real person. Some people just cook their brains on social media I guess
