The BBC reporting on the 1 O'Clock news was plain odd, combining making the visit seem like appeasing a 4 year old with a temper tantrum whilst riddled with inane nonsense about clothing and the royals. But if its what Nigel demands I suppose....

This is less state visit and has more of the air of spending god knows how many millions on a visit that seems to have the similar objectives you would have for putting on a nice couple of days out for a 4 year old making him feel special!

Is it any different to local newspapers desperately trying to find a local angle to news events, I remember the Boxing Day Tsunami and the local paper in West Cumbria running loads of stories basically entirely made up of quotes from people who had been on holiday to the far east once...

That's what they are doing, strangely against anyone liberal or with a strong opinion on green policies who lent them their vote at the last election. I genuinely have no idea what they expect to gain by pandering to reform Voters and Musk but they seem to think its a good idea... 🙄
