An early heads-up: either this month or in March I am going to launch the first of at least three public casting calls to see about getting my upcoming Fallout: New Vegas quest mod's dialogue voiced, so keep an eye out for that if you have an interest in voice acting!

Yeah, that's how I figured this one out, flicking back and forth between versions trying to find where the difference came from. (And truth told, I'm still not 100% sure just where exactly those 10 extra pages came from, but since everything seems to be in order... 🤷‍♂️)

Pure force of habit. English used to have the same capitalization system in place centuries ago.

There are a lot of things about the German language that are overcomplicated or needlessly unwieldy, but the Rule of simply capitalizing all Nouns regardless of Context or deemed Importance is so much more elegant and intuitive, and I'll stand by that Assessment

English capitalization rules are utterly fucking stupid and arbitrary and make no sense (said in the voice of a man going through a 300-page script fixing capitalization errors on dozens of instances of what he *thought* were proper nouns but apparently aren't)

Had a little scare earlier today because the Google Doc for my mod project's script was suddenly 10 pages longer than I remembered it being only 3 or 4 days ago an I feared I'd messed up the formatting, but turns out I simply did 10 pages worth of writing without even registering it? Fine by me.

But hey, No Regerts! Anyone with GECK access can make a bounties-style quest mod and wrap it up in a couple of weeks; my brain being what it is, I've instead chosen to spend half a decade constructing a bizarre piece of interactive fiction just to see if I can do it! It's its own reward(?)!

In the throes of the final™️ editing pass, feel struck by how weird & esoteric this quest is. Incredibly elaborate conversations and scenes built out of / around literary quotes and excerpts that spoke to me, all for an optional side quest for my noir detective story. I didn't *need* to do any this 😅

NGL, this sounds a good deal more interesting than what we got in the final product. Westside in particular could've used some more love... but then again, the lack of substantial content makes it a good blank canvas for enterprising quest modders 😎

Can 100% agree in that regard, The Haunted Casino is the definite high water mark for level design in New Vegas modding in my humble opinion, and the very purposeful way you used lighting & contrast to establish an atmosphere is one of the main reasons behind it. (Also, the clutter!)

Not an artist in the traditional sense, but when it comes to level design (or rather, environmental design), I think I have a very strong grasp of atmospheric lighting. It's the part of the process where things start to come together, and I'm able to do most of it entirely intuitively.

A small update for TLD is coming this week, addressing some minor issues and mod conflicts.
