Sure, if someone OFFERS to buy movie/TV rights, the author can choose whether or not to accept the offer and can negotiate the terms, but we can't FORCE someone to offer/buy those rights. I desperately want to sell these rights, but whether or not someone wants to buy them is out of my control.
