This is why we need changes to IP laws, why do a bunch of execs get control over ideas, worlds, and characters that they had no hand in creating?
It’s just not fair, on either the creators, or the fans of those IPs.

A zoomed out view of my Honosreach mind map showing how everything relates to everything else. Each tap has an attached doc adding detail.

I'm writing a bunch of short stories set on my own original fantasy universe and I have this massive mind map, each tap in it has a word doc attached that explains the details of the thing it mentions. This is just so I can keep track of this world in my head :P

I may have started to emit a noise that could only be described as 'autistic squeals' when I learned that I get to write an assignment on Dickens' Great Expectations this year in uni 😂

While I'm not a history buff by a long way, I know a little bit here and there and I'm pretty sure author Resnick also got the siege of Khartoum and battle of Omdurma mixed up in terms of the order in which they happened.

Two screenshots positioned next to each other for dramatic effect. On the left is a screenshot from Tomb Raider 3, it shows Lara Croft crawling on her hands and knees through a tight space. The camera is pulled back, allowing for us to see her whole body. On the right is Tomb Raider Anniversary, it shows Lara Croft crouching down to squeeze through a tight space, the camera is pulled up close to her behind in such a way that it's objectifying her body.

Something that bothers me with #TombRaiderAnniversary is how the game sexualises Lara. Take the position of the camera when Lara has to fit through tight spaces. The older games kept the camera at a distance, viewing of her whole body, Anniversary focuses on her ass to an obscene degree.

The cover features Lara Croft in a black crop top and green shorts holding her two iconic pistols, one aimed off the left side of the cover.

I’m reading ‘Tomb Raider The Amulet of Power’ right now and it’s very interesting. On the one hand it captures Core Design era Lara very well. On the other hand, Lara Croft used a slur and that makes me very uncomfortable. I will have to review this one!

Impressive.
Is this game worth playing? It looks like 'Temple Run' but like, with Lara Croft instead of discount Indiana Jones like the original. While I enjoyed 'Temple Run' plenty, I struggle with micro transactions due to my ADHD and impulsivity.

I've finished Tomb Raider 1 on the PS1 for the first time.
While I've beaten this game on the PC with the DOSBox version once, and four times on the Switch with the Remastered version, I was never able to finish it on the PS1, it's taken 25 years, but I've done it at last!

Unexpected W from Wizards of the Coast!

I feel like this happens a lot with social media platforms. OF tried remove sex workers in 2021, Tumblr banned NSFW content in 2019, and now we have the BlueSky mods trying to avoid being seen as a left-wing haven despite that being the sales pitch we all signed up for.

Ultimately I'd like this necromancer to be stopped by a group of heroes that each find their own reason for living, thus proving that while difficult for many people, life is worth living, and it is worth fighting to protect.
A dark story with a hopeful ending...

Something I would like to introduce into a future story is the idea of a necromancer that wants to kill the Goddess of life because they believe that existence is a chaotic and cruel, thing and that forcing more souls to be born into this uncaring world is an evil that they must stop.
