"1 in 5 pupils are getting a SEND diagnosis..the vast majority then trip into the benefit system because they get child disability allowance allowance.'

This is completely false from Milburn. He's supposed to be reviewing this issue and he's just making things up. Inexcusable.

Sir James Munby, was a giant of justice. A mind of rare clarity, courage & heart rooted in humanity. I was privileged to meet him, witness his wit, wisdom&unwavering commitment to human rights. He made me better by showing what integrity looks like. Steely when needed, compassionate & profoundly fair.

I left university in 2019 with Β£49,600 of debt. A few months later, I became an MP and have since received a salary that puts me in the top 5% in the country. 6 years on, the repayments from my salary have brought this total to down to Β£48,600 - just Β£1,000 less.

Disability benefits and Carer’s Allowance should be a lot higher, actually.

And it would be the best thing a Government could do to support us, prevent poverty, and reduce some of the strain on health and social care.

Disability benefits could be reformed to get more people into work, says UK minister Sir Stephen Timms argues that a better system is possible without β€˜rapidly continuing increases in spending’

Interesting that the Disability Confident Scheme is starting to be strengthened. Finding ways to shift employer behaviour at scale is going to be crucial to achieving the government's aims.

His first question was: β€œwho funds him?”

Investigations into Farage’s donors can have a major impact on Reform’s support – as this research has already shown πŸ‘‡

You can seek to understand where you are, listen, & think of a next step. What are our options here? Then maybe the picture changes a bit & you can review.

If there's any change it's emergent & you can't know what it'll look like until you're there. This is realistic & comes with no guarantees 2/2

Yes, money alone won’t fix the NHS.

But without money you don’t have beds, theatres, or staff - and without those, β€œproductivity” collapses.

Calling that inefficiency just shows how spectacularly the Telegraph misunderstands the system.

BREAKING: The UK Government has published their homelessness strategy.

It’s a step in the right direction with much to be applauded. But it falls short of what’s desperately needed to end Britain’s homelessness crisis.

I proposed an idea today that everyone working in NHS should have access to regular reflective practice, & it'd need to be organisationally prioritised.

I knew as I said it I sounded crazy & it could never happen in reality. But surely what's actually crazy is that we still don't prioritise this?
