My praxis, nonviolent civil disobedience, is to oppose fascism by putting my body on the line and accepting the violence that comes. To be in the battle.

Can you read? The entire discussion is about the goals of nonviolent protest. Pointing out that nonviolence, as a method used by Ghandi and King, does not mean there will not be violence.

The point of civil disobedience and nonviolence isn't to avoid violence, including carceral violence.

It is to provide a clear demonstration of the difference between your moral cause and the violent repression of the immoral state.
