I haven’t read anything to support this, but my assumption is it’s a couple of fine young men, almost certainly white pre-middle aged with impressive bellies hanging over their cargo shorts, “reminding” these athletes that they shouldn’t be athletes except for in one room of these guys’ houses.

I was getting a little nauseated by all the Jed Hoyer love Cubs’ fans were showing earlier this week.

After a disappointing deadline where Jed managed to get only Soroka for the rotation, the Jed vitriol is bubbling back up. Glad to see Cubs’ fans haven’t gotten complacent.

Can we fire Jed yet?

To add to the disgrace, DJT is releasing these tariff letters out on social media for all of us to see but doesn’t even bother to change the wording of the letters. They’re basically form letters slightly adjusted to address the particular country. Does he think the leaders won’t see them? Weird.

Agreed that an IL stay would have helped him. Seems unlikely to perform at a high level when losing that much body mass that quickly.

One thing I’ve noticed in his data is the steady decline of his ability to hit the ball hard even before the weight loss. I’m afraid it may be weight + age decline.

Most southerners say the same about surviving NY winters! I’ve said to folks, many times, I was born in the wrong part of the country. Not a heat person, so the 6 months of summer + 1-2 months of warm spring/fall is pretty brutal.

I’ve been lucky enough to go a few times and experience the cathedral that is — it’s just different from other parks I’ve been to.

I’m excited to share it with my kid. They aren’t huge into baseball, but maybe this experience will act as a conversion of sorts.
