I was tempted to take photos of even more beachy decor, but I resisted. And yes, there is a difference between rental beach decor that is just thrown up to fill empty walls (at least I hope so!) 🦀

But yes, I count 4 beach references, 4 crab related pieces, 3 Cats Meow OC Boardwalk items, sandpipers, fish & lots of bright beachy colors which make me smile when I’m here (like now!)

Not gonna lie…here’s a current shot from my place in Ocean City (not a rental). Honestly, makes a fun contrast to my home decor. And in my defense, I got the majority of my beachy items from local craft shows, not mass produced big box stores.

Went to that show a couple of years ago. So fun! I’ve mostly settled into my favorite pens & try not to tempt myself as much now.

Ooh! I was wondering about that $550k original price. That seemed really, really low for Old Town. Made me wonder what shape it was in.

Whew! Glad to hear it is not the end of an era yet. 🦎

Have to admit that I enjoy seeing my $8 Dominion bill every month even in this heat. Not only am I not stressing the grid, I’m actually generating electricity to add to it! In the summer I make 3x what I use. Over all, I generate ~125% of what I need.

Truly was the easiest contracting experience I’ve had.

I went through Solarize Virginia which made it SO EASY. They connected me with Solar Energy World at a discounted rate-so no worries about vetting or negotiating w/ multiple companies. Solar Energy World was super easy to work w/ & handled everything - permitting, connecting w/ Dominion, tax credits

Ha! They are doubling down. He “already owns a home”. Doesn’t want “its price to decline”. “Didn’t move here to be crowded in with lots and lots of people” & doesn’t want to live near “sprawling apartment complexes”.

Reminds me of the “they are going to tear down & redevelop Del Ray” panic during ZFH. When all ZFH wanted to do was to expand the diversity of housing you find in Del Ray into other parts of Alexandria.

It’s fascinating, isn’t it? And not just the specter of duplexes. They went right to “split this into ten lots and build 40 apartments?”

Was really tempted to chime in about how great that would be but didn’t feel like exploding heads this early in the day.

Can’t recommend solar enough! Really appreciating it in this heat.
