Found footage would have worked - the novel is basically that anyway, though I can't imagine the narrator leaving in the footage of when he attacked the curate.

Plus found footage is so 2010...

It seems odd that people are complaining that the Amazon War of the Worlds is weird for being made as if it's being recorded off a screen, as if the two most popular adaptations aren't a mock radio newscast and a musical.

That's the nicest thing I can find to say about it though.

Our neighbouring museum was doing a Lego ship building activity, but none of the kids were building ships.

So I built one. Of course, it's based on a certain Tudor carrack...

The other day I was escorting a film crew, and one of the team stopped to photograph some random wooden bowls in our archive.

I couldn't think why he found them interesting until I remembered that they were 500 year old wooden bowls that spent most of that time on the seabed. That's quite special.

Not sure if you're on the GBFans forum, but you could ask there, someone would probably have one and be willing to help you recreate the flaps.
