New recycling tech recovers nearly pure nickel and cobalt from old EV batteries Researchers have developed an eco-friendly recycling tech that extracts 99 percent pure nickel and cobalt from waste batteries.

If anyone cares at all, EV battery recycling is now hitting 99% recovery for important metals

Please remind me again what the recycle rate for fossil fuels is

Let silly hacks go and work on their next bit of Westminster gossip. THIS is the main news from that conference. The clearest indication yet, right from the top.

Itโ€™s Co-op celebration day in Lawton road Co-op. Come down and meet the local groups being supported by the Co-op local community fund as well as other local groups the Co-op is working alongside.

But the part of the message that made me wince and made me post was people saying that all Labour voters are automatically racists and fascists and I think that's going too far.

17.11.2025 12:19 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 15    ๐Ÿ“Œ 1

Not only do I care about the wellbeing of refugees but I attended a Refugees Welcome event at the weekend. I am 100% pro-refugees. I posted originally cause I saw a few posts saying roughly the same thing. I'm seeing a lot more now and I may have been wrong about it being coordinated.

17.11.2025 12:19 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 15    ๐Ÿ“Œ 4

I support the people pointing out the racism of the policy. I agree with letting the Labour government know they disagree with the policy. Not with those saying that Labour voters are automatically racists.

17.11.2025 12:16 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Arguably agree with that. The part I have a problem with is those who say all Labour voters are automatically racists if they don't immediately quit the party and publicly criticize the government over these policies.

17.11.2025 12:11 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 7    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I'm deleting this post because it seems like many people over-read it and incorrectly assumed my views on something as a result. Just to be clear I don't like the new immigration policies and I agree that we should express out views about them. But not that being a Labour voter makes you a racist.

17.11.2025 12:03 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 13    ๐Ÿ“Œ 6

We will make far more progress in getting change by collectively letting them know we disagree with the policy than by fighting among ourselves.

17.11.2025 11:45 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 9    ๐Ÿ“Œ 1

You, like many others, have over read what i wrote and assumed my opinions. I loathe these new home office policies. I just donโ€™t think that what the home office says makes the rest of us racists and fascists. Name calling wonโ€™t fix this. We have to put pressure on the government to change course.

17.11.2025 11:45 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 12    ๐Ÿ“Œ 3

And yet that is how it does work. Perhaps if we had PR it might work differently. Perhaps not. I would prefer that all politicians were at liberty to vote and speak with their conscience. But that isnโ€™t the current reality.

17.11.2025 11:38 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 4    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

So you are contending that Starmer himself is coordinating people to put out a message saying that Labour voters are racists and fascists?

Youโ€™ll forgive me if I donโ€™t find that very credible.

17.11.2025 11:36 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 1    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Like what exactly?

17.11.2025 11:35 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 3    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

And before you all go in the attack and assume Iโ€™m an anti semite you might consider asking me me views on the policies that sparked this argument.

17.11.2025 11:34 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Wow youโ€™re going way too far. I said I saw maybe 3 posts with very similar messaging and wondered if they were connected. Thatโ€™s the extent of my conspiracy theory. Talk about massive over-reading.

17.11.2025 11:33 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

This is very interesting. Is it the plan now that whenever someone criticises Polanskiโ€˜s self described populist approach that the critic will be labelled anti semitic? Thatโ€™s the kind of thing that far left of Labour used to do in the pursuit of ideological purity. Are those now batting for green?

17.11.2025 11:28 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 6    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Wow. Why does everyone assume that I agree with these policies? I do not. I think theyโ€™re wrong and potentially racist and I loathe the sense that they are pandering again to the far right. But I donโ€™t think that makes all Labour voters and parliamentarians racists or fascists.
