You know what's messed up?
I stopped being surprised by the stories about the UCP being corrupt years ago.
At this point, it's basically just the same story over and over again with slightly different details.

As a result of being consumed by just trying to survive, I didn't have the energy for a lot of things that used to bring me joy.
This year, I'm going to try to bring my garden back. Grow some food for my family and community and hopefully help get some of my spark back.

Some of you may have noticed that in the last couple of years, I haven't really been doing the things I used to love.
After going through some pretty hard-core medical trauma, I also went through PPD and lost my grandmother, who was more like a mother to me.
It hasn't been great, TBH.

Even making $5.00 an hour, it was still easier to make ends meet back then.

Separatists in Alberta want to go back to the time when oil was booming and the cost of living was low.
They want 6 figure paycheques and unlimited credit and 500.00 rent, and they refuse to believe that that's not going to happen if they just keep demanding it.

They're like spoiled children.

I think a lot of people are just tired of it and don't actually know how to help a segment of the population that chooses to live outside of reality and bother everyone else about it all the time.
I don't know if separatists are stupid as individuals, but I do know that they are willfully ignorant.
