I want to feel good about my music. I want to feel good about the videos I make, the video game streams I do, anything I’m doing to try to have a presence in the world but lately, I just don’t.
Nothing makes me happy. Listening to my music just annoys me right now. The videos I put on YouTube

Guess I can reshare this thread again. It’s a fun track, and the description in the thread of what’s going on in it may enhance your listening experience
08.10.2025 01:23 — 👍 2 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0I keep posting what I make and I just hope.
The noise just gets louder and more troublesome though and I’m just caught in a spiral of knowing I need to keep at it but finding difficulty in being able to
Bandcamp has hit 2K plays overall in just over a year’s time. That’s pretty ok

I keep going out of sheer stubbornness and spite.

Soooo probably not posting a picture here ever again.
Not only are the images being scraped for AI, the alt text is being scraped for AI.
Just a double-dose of nonsense, and I’m not about that.
Conductor: "So, the dotted demisemiquaver of the old tempo becomes the triplet semiquaver of the new tempo"
Orchestra: ...😶😶😶😶
Bassoonist: "Is that... faster... or slower?"

Fuckin gross.
Look, I get it, Prop 50’s a good idea and election integrity needs to be preserved.
That doesn’t mean this man is some hero who can do no wrong.
He can do (and is actively doing) plenty of wrong.
Blue-wave folks need to get the fuck off this dude’s dick right quick
Awesome and you’re welcome!
I hope you’re able to figure things out
I’ve found a great love for band-pass filters recently. I used to avoid them (not sure why, it’s not I dislike them or anything), but I’ve found they can give my music some really cool textures when I use them that HPFs and LPFs just can’t

07.10.2025 19:01 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Once that’s done and you hopefully have some answers (and yeah at this point I’d have the labwork canceled if you can because blood in vials will hemolyze which may make results impossible to get anyway), then yeah set up a repeat draw as soon as they can get you in or at a different office,
07.10.2025 19:01 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Holy hell.
Ok so I would get in touch with the office you went to ASAP and explain the situation. If you have the info for the physician who ordered the blood draw, give that, too. Anything concrete will make it easier for them to sort this out.
As someone who routinely has to have labwork done (too often, it feels like), I am willing to offer advice if you’re looking for it. I like to make sure before letting loose
07.10.2025 18:52 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Also, somewhere about 8 minutes in (when the reverb is turned off for a bit) the opsix gets a case of the giggles, so if you’ve ever wondered what that might sound like…
It’s a very fleeting moment in the soundscape, but you’ll know it when you hear it.
Words can’t classify the sound itself, so go give it a listen. Here’s the link again because the one at the introduction will be buried by this point.
Enjoy!

This track I would certainly classify as experimental as I’ve not heard anything quite like it before. It absolutely crosses well over the threshold of being traditionally (or even non-traditionally) musical into being something… amorphous but with a degree of coherence.
07.10.2025 17:53 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The time parameters for each channel are routed through their own random LFO, with differing intensities, so as the LFO moves, you get the classic noisy slides up and down through different delay times, and it’s like the opsix is being wrenched through infinite shreds of incomplete songs.
07.10.2025 17:53 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The delay is a tempo-synced stereo delay with slightly offset time values on the left and right channels.
Already kind of interesting.
Now, let’s talk about the delay mods. The #opsix allows FX parameters to be modded by LFO’s, which is something *every* #synth should allow for.

The sound at the base of this is pretty simple. The design of that isn’t necessarily important, it’s what happens with the delay and it’s time parameter that makes it interesting (and noisy). The basis of the "song" is a simple, slow A minor arp.
Been thinking today about #experimentalmusic and the more I think about it, most of mine - although unique in its own way and at times using maybe-unconventional combinations of sounds - really isn’t necessarily experimental.
One track absolutely is, though, and here’s a little 🧵 about it.
This place would be a touch more tolerable if so
