Sunday listening: Patrick Shirioshi's new album, which is somehow both understated and epic in its exploration of memorializing vs historical loss. “There is no moment in my life in which this is not happening” is a great illustration of the tension.

In the mid-ground is a bright blue flatbed trailer with two large horse sculptures, probably 8-10 foot tall each and strapped to the trailer with yellow cables. The horse sculptures are covered like mirrorballs except for golden saddle and mane. It’s quite a scene.

Saw some mirror-covered horses at a rest area on the mass turnpike earlier today.
