After producing the Max Headroom TV series, the same team produced the Super Mario Bros (1993) movie... which had a lot of the same gritty dystopian cyberpunk future themes.

The show didn't last long.
Matt Frewer went on to star in Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

They referenced Max Headroom in Back to the Future 2, but of course Marty orders a Pepsi, and Max Headroom was advertising for Coke. Ironically.

And after those New Coke ads, they decided to go back to the original idea, that mini-movie "20 minutes into the future" dystopian cyberpunk Sci-Fi thing that they only made as an origin story... they started producing as a TV series. In America. This was 1987, the same year Robocop came out.

And a little later, along with the music videos, they had Max interviewing musicians, for British TV. Somehow, they started airing those interviews on Cinemax in the US, and someone saw it and decided to pick Max Headroom for the New Coke ads. Remember New Coke? This would have been 1986.

so they came up with a Blade Runner style Cyberpunk future, and produced a mini-movie where a TV reporter is injured and they scan his brain into the computer, and Max Headroom was born. Matt Frewer (just happened to be in London) was hired. But again, they just wanted a VJ for music videos.

Lately, my family has been playing a card game called Skyjo. It's an easy to learn card game, and it's pretty fun.

It's similar to the card game Golf. You could say it's a variation of that game.

I don't get the point of a Sauna or Steam room at a gym.

I work in a hospital, and we have seen a big increase in heat related emergencies. This heat wave isn't F'n around, the high humidity makes it feel much hotter. Stay inside. Do that yard work next week. Nobody cares that your grass is too long.

And tariffs are back up. Again. 50% on Europe. 25% on smartphones.

If they gut Medicaid

nursing homes will go bankrupt

people will die

this would be devastating to millions of people's lives.
