We have had a few conversations when there was family news to share. But beyond that I’m not speaking to them.

Today I remembered why I made that choice.

I checked in with my parents a few days after the inauguration a year ago to verify whether they were still supporting Trump, as Jews with a thorough grounding on what it means to be targeted by fascists. They said they still supported him. I went basically no contact with them.

I’m incredibly proud to serve as a coordinator on this training weekend. The world needs men doing this work more than it ever has.

We are going to create a powerful safe container for men to explore healthy masculinity. Learn to identify, feel, and process their feelings. Face their trauma and break intergenerational patterns. Embrace their personal mission for their life. And begin to walk the path of healing.

Last night, I had the privilege of leading a meeting where we selected the men who will be make the May 2026 New Warrior Training Adventure happen for the NY Metro Tristate community.

The conversation about this week’s events is actually about the willingness to embrace, or to push back against, “doublethink”. This is the thing we keep mistaking for hypocrisy. It’s infuriating, it’s insidious, and we’re watching seemingly reasonable people embrace it in real time.
