Chrono Trigger is a game I'm just not supposed to experience... I started a play through and was really excited and then hit the corner of my ds while readjusting how I was sitting and it hard reset. I hadn't even made it to the teleporter but I'd explored so much I don't wanna do it again. 😭

Atmosphere might be the most important part of game design for me as a consumer. I'm playing modded Minecraft with friends and something as simple as the music changing and the biome being a specific way completely changes everything, I love it so much.

In places like the camp you often are approached by other characters with fixed conversations but by far my favourite interactions come from people gathering around the camp at night to tell each other stories. I wish I could sit for days and listen to what they have to say.

I've been playing a lot of red dead redemption 2 which overall does this well, npcs calling out to you makes sense but at the same time the world is sometimes too good at knowing you're there. You'll be automatically blamed for crimes without being spotted etc. But still amazing case of this.

I think a problem I have with a lot of video games, especially open world ones, is that the world knows I'm the player. I wish sometimes to just blend in and be a nobody, people watch and listen without all the npcs calling out to me specifically or knowing I'm there.

..... so seeing the backstory of his mother's death, and finding out he blames himself. it was a really smart way to show that he learnt at a young age what it means to lose someone, so he's grown up being able to understand others' problems and that solving them isn't simple. love it !

ive started watching bleach recently (on ep 10) and have been loving how ichigo is emotionally mature, empathetic, and grounded. he understands the weight of the situations he is in, and shows that he can comprehend it means more to people that just fight the bad guy and win .....
