I’m going to occasionally repost this interview because A) it’s super cool that I interviewed a congressional candidate on TV, B) people should know who’s running and what their deal is, and C) we discussed some really important stuff in ways I haven’t seen discussed elsewhere.

And if you ever attend a ball in his $200 million royal annex, enjoy the memories, because they’ll be all that’s left: Democrats will have it demolished; the White House will be restored into a relatively humble residence, as soon we take power. This is a posture I’d like to see Democrats adopt across controversies.”

The problem with the horse-race coverage of Trump II is that, across the board, he is destroying nonzero sum arrangements: rule of law, institutions, collective goods, trade relationships, alliances.

So what the media portrays as a win for Trump is usually a net loss for everyone, including the US.
