Teaching 7, two of which I’m building new curriculum for and 10-12 of those hours are spent just commuting.

After working 70+ hours a week with no days off for about a month straight, my body had a toddler-style meltdown; I was so tired I cried. In a 48 hour period I slept for a total of 22 hours. I only have to make it through 2 more months & then I will never agree to teach this many classes again.

Not really natural sciences, the main disciplines I pull from are psychology, anthropology, criminology, theology, & philosophy.

As a sociologist I often use the terms interchangeably. Maybe because my work relies on the work of other disciplines. Not to mention that all the conferences I go to are subject based, not discipline based. So, seeing others cut from the same cloth (social scientist) seems fitting.

I would be rattled too. And I’m the kind of person who can’t let go, so I would think about it a lot of like a semester or 2.

Holy crap. I tried to do overnight “oats” with buckwheat flakes & while it definitely doesn’t taste the same, it’s sooo good! Add just a bit more milk than the normal 1:1 ratio and yum! Next I’m gonna try to cook up some groats like steel cut oats.
