if you think of location scouting as similar to casting, i can understand this being a way of saying the locations were particularly well selected/utilized, to say they became like a character/presence within the scene. not a big fan of the shorthand, but that's how it reads to me

sp*mton neo stands in a very wide stanced deep squat, with his knees at sub 90 degree angles. his pelvis is completely upright, stabilizing his spine in an upright curve, with his arms raise over his head to smooth back his hair. to his chassis, a series of scraps of fabric cut into hearts of increasing size are strapped with a broad belt. he has no other ornamentation, and his "chained heart" is represented at the end of a long tail, it has a goofy grin and similar glasses. to the right is another narrower drawing of sneo in a kneeling pose with his arms behind him, dressed the same.
