The TSA agent who scanned my duffle bag of Magic decks in magnetized cases didn’t look perplexed. He scanned the bag thoughtfully, narrowed his eyes, knowingly nodded, and said to me, “The two decks apart from the rest. I gotta know.”

1) No. I’m squeamish AF. There’s a reason I never even considered medical school.

2) There’s a big difference in choosing to watch something versus seeing multiple, surprise surgery videos right before I eat. On a plane.

I’m trying making homemade, aged eggnog, for the first time. After sampling it, I realized it’s basically three liquors in an overcoat made up of sugar, eggs, cream, and spices.

Many think kindness and humility are signs of weakness. They are wrong. True warriors know that to help others and to ask for nothing in return are the mightiest acts of honor. Cruelty is for the weak. Offer help, show kindness freely, for tomorrow it could be you who requires aid.

Book 2, Ep. 2: The Cave of Two Lovers
