If my using cliff and coles notes 7 years ago was cheating, why are we saying that its fine for students to use ChatGPT to generate essay ideas for them to write about??? Boggles my mind.

Having to teach students how to use AI โappropriatelyโ feels like handing them a calculator in kindergarten and calling it a day on addition and subtraction. Grammarly instead of teaching grammar, generative AI summaries instead of teaching them how to summarize. So, so frustrating.

Currently trying to turn 8 random highschool kids into a functioning band within the next month. Our drummer is a classical percussionist, our guitarists a mix of jazz and 90s grunge, our bassist listens to only jpop or doom metal with no inbetween, and I somehow ended up with 3 singers
